Yes, it’s true! We are living totally off grid on our new property…for now at least.

We have been totally off grid now for 3 months and there has been some challenges, but all in all it has been very rewarding and awesome.

Living totally off grid does offer challenges, but it hasn’t been that bad.

What have we done for power?

We have been using generators to run our fifth wheel camper and also to run our deep freeze and a bigger refrigerator at the shop.

Today our power company finally made it out to start setting poles for getting power back here to us. The rest will all be underground.

Next will come the water which I will have to trench and run myself once the water company sets the meter.

Our property is designed so that we are 1/4 mile from the main gravel road. Just the way we like it. Very private!
