Below is a email that I just got from a coach and mentor of mine, and I wanted to pass along to you to enjoy. Some will not agree, but we know which category those fall into. 🙂

Why the rich have money, and the poor don’t!

Enjoy…

Hi Mike,

Have you ever heard the saying “You can’t have your cake and eat it, too?”

If you ask me, that’s about the STUPIDEST thing I’ve ever heard. I mean, what are you supposed to do with the cake if you don’t eat it? Put it on your mantle and look at it? Cake is meant to be eaten and enjoyed.

Rich people don’t buy into that nonsense. They have an abundance mentality. They want it all, and know they can have it.

That’s the Wealth File we’ll be working on this month.

We’ll begin in a moment. But first I want to remind you of something before we get started: please be kind to yourself.

You’re learning new mental habits. You may slip back into your old thought habits from time to time. That’s OK.

In fact, it’s great if you catch yourself thinking in the old ways. Simply congratulate yourself for catching yourself, simply say to that old voice “Cancel, cancel. Thank you for sharing.” And replace the old thought habit with this new, millionaire thought habit.

The concepts –the new files –you’re learning are simple but very profound. They make real changes for real people in the real world.

Just remember it’s imperative you put each file into action as quickly as possible so that the knowledge can move to a physical, cellular level. That way, it can create lasting and permanent change.

So Here is Millionaire Mind Action Steps #15

Wealth File #12 Rich people think “both.”

Poor people think “either/or.”

Do you think you have to choose between money and some other important aspect of life? Do you feel the need to choose between money and happiness? Or money and a wonderful relationship? Or money and work that you love?

Then you’re thinking the same way a poor person does.

That’s because poor people live in a world of limitations. They come from scarcity. They think that if they choose one, they have to give up another.

But rich people live in a world of abundance. They know they CAN have their cake and eat it, too. They know they can have everything they truly want. They know they don’t have to choose “either-or.” They know they can have BOTH.

When you start thinking like a rich person, you’ll start saying “Money or happiness? BOTH! Money or a wonderful relationship? BOTH! Money, or doing the work you love? BOTH!”

Poor people choose one or the other. Rich people choose both.

Actually, when you think about it, it only makes sense. Why would you have to give up money to be happy? Would being poor make you happy? Money is important! It allows you to “slide” through life instead of having to “scrape” by. It gives you freedom. It gives you the freedom to live your life without having to spend your energy worrying about not having it.

Saying you have to choose is like saying you have to choose between your arm and your leg. Which would you choose? Which is more important? They’re both important. Of course you’d choose both.

That’s why rich people believe you CAN have your cake and eat it, too.

But middle-class people say “Cake is too rich, so I’ll only have a little piece.”

And poor people? They don’t believe they deserve cake, so they order a doughnut, focus on the hole, and wonder why they have “nothing.”

“There’s only so much to go around” you’ll hear them say. They don’t want to be “greedy.” “If I have more, then someone else will have less.” They reason.

But the notion that the wealthy people of the world have and are somehow hoarding all the money – so there’s none left for anyone else – is preposterous.

In the first place, the government keeps printing money all the time. So even if the wealthy had all the money today, tomorrow there’d be millions, if not billions more. It would be there, available for you and me to use and enjoy.

In the second place, money can be used over and over again to create value for everyone. When you buy something, you get value, the merchant who sells it to you is rewarded for giving you value, and the manufacturer and people who create what you bought are rewarded with jobs and income.

So if you’re worried about other people, do what it takes to get rich and spread your wealth around.

My friend, I urge you to live your life without limits. Whatever your situation, let go of either/or thinking and decide firmly that from now on, you intend to have “both.”

Action #1 Practice thinking and creating ways of having “both.” Whenever you’re presented with a choice, ask yourself “How can I have both?”

Action #2 Become aware of how money in circulation adds value to everyone’s life. Each time you spend money, say to yourself, “This money will go through hundreds of people and create value for all of them.”

Action #3 Intend to become a role model for others. Have the intention to show them that you can be kind, generous, loving and rich!

Action #4-Declaration Put your hand on your heart and say,

“I always think ‘both’.”

Touch your head and say… “I have a millionaire mind.”

Good job. Now practice this principle over the next 30 days and watch your mind, thoughts and financial life transform.

I’ll be sending you another Action Step reminder in 30 days.

For your freedom,
